The basic cowl is designed to fit directly to your liner to ensure that no rain gets in to your liner
The cowl slides over the top of the liner and can be screwed into place with self tapping screws (not supplied) or alternatively can be cemented in to place at the top of the stack

Installation Guide
Basic cowl with or without mesh, first fit a top insert, then place rain cap base over outside of liner ,drill through the base and secure to liner with self tapping screws(not supplied).
We recommend that all installations are carried out by a qualified chimney installer.
