Cat Found In Chimney

A missing cat has been rescued after being found trapped half-way down a chimney.

Fluffy, the mischievous cat, had to be rescued after climbing onto a roof of a house in Wirral, and falling down the chimney only to get stuck halfway.

Firefighters, attending the dramatic rescue, failed to see Fluffy when looking up and down the chimney and decided the only course of action would be to entice him out of a hole.

Knocking a brick out of the wall, the cat was eventually enticed out of the hole with food.

Having been missing for 5 days, Fluffy was spotted on the roof of a neighbours house and in a botched attempt at a rescue, with a neighbour using a ladder to gain access to the roof, the cat fell down the chimney, leading to the dramatic rescue.

Fluffys owner said that the cat “obviously got scared when someone went up to rescue him and he was stuck in the wall of the house”.

"It was so nice to get Fluffy back. I kept him in for a few days and hope he has learned his lesson so he won't go too far again, I know he certainly missed his food," she added.
