Chimney To Be Redeveloped As Viewing Tower

A chimney that is part of a former paper mill, is to be redeveloped into a viewing tower as part of a restoration project.

The chimney was built almost 100 years ago in the city of Tallinn, Estonia.

The boiler house is a local attraction with the chimney considered a symbolic monument of the former paper mill, and a popular tourist attraction in the area.

In a statement developers said

"Inside the chimney, the design envisages the construction of a spiral staircase and a glass elevator, which will bring the visitor right to the top platform providing stunning city views.

“The top of the chimney features a terrace covered with a glass dome.

“The chimney is connected to the former boiler house whose core will be formed by covered city street several storeys high as well as architecturally distinctive office and commercial spaces”.
